Don't get me wrong @jaynie, there's much I love about this place, including many of the people here (wink), but once again I am reminded of the way the reality often ends up being quite different from the ideal.

Whereas I have periodically thrown my weight and enthusiasm behind a venue, I am ultimately more loyal to a community and to spreading awareness of my own content than I am to a particular site. I have watched almost fifty of them go down in the flames of self-destruction. I have a feeling you probably have, too...

I have less and less sense of the future of Hive, although these last few days I have been intrigued by the return of Dan. Although he has hopped from project to project, he's ultimately an idealist... so I have to wonder why he is suddenly here when he has a bajillion connects and a lot of influence? So, keeping an eye on that...

Anyway, hope you don't wander too far from here... and if you do happen to find Shangri-La out there, do shoot me a smoke signal!
