My condolences.

Words are hollow and empty at times like these; I've had dogs and cats pretty much all my life and they all leave their pawprints in our hearts, and in our memories. They become such integral parts of our lives... and their departure from this life hurts, perhaps even more than the loss of a human friend. And that's really OK. Our furry friends are never "just an animal," as some might insist.
