Our son (32) lives with us for 3-4 months, every winter... has done so for about five years. He's a "permanent seasonal" employee of a satellite city in the Seattle area, and gets "laid off" every early December, and goes back to work in March. The city does it that way to avoid having to pay "full time" benefits.
