It has pretty much always gotten my hackles up when people, organizations and companies gender stereotype/pigeonhole. Ironically, I originally ran into it "in reverse" when I came from Europe to Texas for college, back in the early 80's... and heard a lot of "what men like to do" things that I totally couldn't relate to. My girlfriend for 11 years was a software engineer, and it was a non-stop experience in the IT field... women enginerds. It was almost like it was a threat to a closed little circle.
Regardless, we have to keep showing up for what we believe in, regardless of whether or not it "fits the preconceived mold." So yeah, that's good advice,,,
