Welcome to August 1st! It's a new month!
Although I don't — technically speaking — qualify to participate in Hive Power Up Day, I thought I'd still do my own "Hive Mini PUD" just to stay with the general spirit of things.
For those who are not in the know, the first of every month is "Hive Power Up Day," sometimes abbreviated HPUD or HivePUD.
As far as I know, the idea started with 
Anyway, I had a bit of liquid Hive in my wallet, and I had a bit on the Bittrex exchange that I added to it, so I am powering up 122.539 Hive today:

And we're done! At the end of which I have just slightly over 6,150 staked Hive.
If you have any liquid Hive, I encourage you to also power up: Not only is it a good investment... your curation rewards increase as your stake increases... but it's also a good way to support and add stability to Hive.
Have I "drunk the Kool-Aid?"
For me, Hive is what I think of as a "potential long term savings plan." Whereas I do understand the risks associated, and am well aware that my Hive may end up worth nothing, but I enjoy the writing and the interaction... so that's a value that helps offset the risk.
We all have different objectives, and I am totally onboard with that.
In my case, this was never my grocery money and I didn't come here "to get paid." I'd been blogging for zero rewards for 20 years before starting here in January 2017. If this all heads "south," I will continue blogging for zero rewards.
So this is a choice between "zero rewards, for SURE" and "at least the POSSIBILITY of rewards," for doing the same thing.
Which would YOU choose?
