RE: Self Reflection & the Scarab
@jaynie, I could possibly write an entire book on this state of being; this state of coming home to ourselves; actually it is an allowing ourselves to be ourselves. Who do you live for? And no, you don't

RE: Richlist reveals that decentralization on POB has started
It's nice to see the analysis, and "who's who." This does hint at the beginning of decentralization, at least. What would be an even deeper indication of decentralization would be to look at

RE: Angry, Upset, Outraged and on the Warpath? Not Today, Thank You!
Good! I'm glad you got something from it! Oddly enough, it also calmed me down to write it and think the thoughts that created it. What really matters? Most of the time, it actually isn't the stuff we

Thanks for stopping by @tamaralovelace, and for the kind words! The Universe has a way of taking us to precisely the places we need to be.

RE: Angry, Upset, Outraged and on the Warpath? Not Today, Thank You!
Well, these past four days of scorchy temps have definitely changed our daily routines... we spend far less time in front of our computers because our home offices are in the warmer part of the house...

Yes, it is about where we put our focus... and that requires something a lot of people sadly forget: Taking the time to actually be mindful and discerning with our energy. Thanks for stopping by

It just seems like over the past couple of decades, it has become "fashionable" to hold really strong opinions about everything... if you simply observe and shrug most things off as "inevitable

RE: Mental Health, Art and Creativity — Surrounded by Clutter: A Legacy!
Oh yes, I definitely admire people who live in tiny houses and clean spaces, but I have come to accept that I can admire without feeling the compulsion to try to become a type of person that I am not!

That's a good example... but how often do you (realistically) have to carry out a pit stop in eight seconds? But I understand about having an "ideal" we hold in our mind's eye...

I believe most of my clutter has a purpose. Speaking of a "particular other," my ex-wife was an actual hoarder and the difference was that she would just buy/bring home stuff "because she

RE: Proof of Brain: Encouragement to Think for Yourself vs. Thought Shaming
For me, the best kind of teaching — and learning — tends to be a dialogue in which both (or more) parties come away with better overall wisdom and information than they had before. Both the teacher and

Hi Chelsea, nice to "see you," and thanks for the kind words! I have reached a point of not giving much "advice" at all... I just share possible scenarios and their likely outcomes,

Given what we know know about multiple intelligences and different learning styles, it is definitely folly to use IQ as a measurement of anything much more than the capacity to solve mostly abstract puzzles.

It can definitely become a problem, especially when you come across a person who feels they just have to impose their way of seeing the world and doing things on everyone around them. In a sense, it works

Appreciate the thoughtful comment @clixmoney, and shanks for sharing your perspective and experience. Teaching definitely is a good way to learn, as well... the interaction between student and teacher
