Man..., this is such an old game.

Titan Quest is an action roleplaying videogame released originally in 2006 and had it's first expansion, Immortal Throne in 2008.

Titan Quest: Anniversary Edition is a 2016 re-release of both the original Titan Quest and Immortal Throne in one package, having bug fixes and a major overhaul so that it can be played on newer systems.

from then on it received three more expansions [DLCs].

I am using a Summoner Class, I just stand in the corner to heal and provide auras to my minions.

My opinion of Titan Quest as a product in 2022.

That's a lot of DLCs right? and does it mean it a great game? No!,

but it's a good game.

If I have to describe it:

It's a game I will not talk about with my friends, But, It's a game that I would buy and gift to my friends for a chance of playing it with them.

This is that kind of game for me.

It's grindy as hell and not for everyone but it's a also cult classic, and I am one of those who love it.

Let's talk about its features.

Multiplayer, it has pvp.

Would you look at that. Online multiplayer is alive and well. (Steam)

Mastery System, 'Classes', or 'Skill Trees'.
4.jpg
you get to choose a mastery at level two and another one at level eight.
5.jpg
every level you get three skill points, to unlock a skill, you need to invest the required mastery points on the left.

increases Strength by 4 per point.
increases Intelligence by 4 per point.
increases Dexterity by 40 per point.

Dexterity also increases Offense Ability and Defense Ability.
  • Equipments have a required amount of Strength, Intelligence, and Dexterity.

  • Defense Ability counters Offense Ability.
    • reduces chance to get hit.

Defense and Armor Information

compared to other games. Titan Quest has a gimmick regarding Armor.
When you received a physical attack:

  • 40% to land on the torso.
  • 20% to land on the head.
  • 20% to land on the arms.
  • 20% to land on the legs.
    • Jewelry and Bonus Armors adds it's value to all above.
image.pngArmor only affects Physical Damage.
Flat Damage Reduction.
Does not reduce Pierce Damage.
only 66% effective, termed as Armor Absorption. (affected by skills)

Resistances
image.png
reduces specific damage taken by a percentage. has a cap of 80%.

there are other ways of reducing damage such as Damage Absorb and Buffer Hit Points Buffs.

other highlights that are worth mentioning:

  • Gamepad Support
  • Certain Abilities are auras that 'reserve' the mana pool.
  • Certain Abilities are a replacement for the default attack action.
  • You loot the gear your enemy wears.
  • Day & Night Cycle
  • Dedicated minion 'Focus Attack' ability.
  • Basic minion behavior setting.
  • Base Clothing can be change by Clothing Dyes. (later on it even includes pants.)
  • explore Greece, Egypt, The Orient, The Underworld (Hades), The North, Atlantis, and The East (That you can only access in Legendary Difficulty, Bad.).
  • Adjustable Game Speed.
  • Inventory that expands as you play along.
  • a Stash system that can share between your characters.
  • Linear.
  • just exit and reload the game to farm the respawned mobs.
  • Waypoints.
  • Charms and Relics, add perks to equipments such as +10 damage.
  • Artifacts. another equipment slot.
  • No Two-handed Melee weapons. You can dual wield though.
  • Three difficulty levels, Normal, Epic and Legendary.
  • No Loading between maps unless warping or the initial load.

I guess that pretty much covers most of what I want to say about Titan Quest.

I will just go ahead and post some screenshots. 馃槀

A different Character with a farther progression. Look, Pants.

And that's pretty much it.

If you want to buy a new mouse then this game is definitely for you.

It's a pretty decent game. It's just. It's 2022, there are other better games.

But Titan Quest will always have a place in my library.

Cheers!~
