They also didn't really say anything of substance for the critical viewer. They guarantee no bots? Tell me how, or I don't believe you. They guarantee all unique users? Again - tell me how. If it's just "Block.one has a multi-step process for verifying that a person is both real and unique" - that isn't very compelling to me. You need people to buy in, why should I buy in to a system where they place themselves as gatekeepers? If this is supposed to be a generalized solution for identity on EOS as a whole, why we would accept such a gatekeeper position when the whole point of blockchain is to remove middlemen (gatekeepers are a form of middleman).
You say that they are speaking to a mainstream audience. All that you have shown of this is that they didn't use technical jargon or go on at length about libertarian values. What evidence is there that this is actually reaching a mainstream audience? Is this being talked about outside of the very crypto community you say they don't need to speak to? Show me evidence that this is genuinely reaching a mainstream audience before you hold this up as a successful example.
