The price of Steem is down terribly the last few days.
It should be noted though that there's little evidence of a Steem dump. Like most cryptos, Steem is primarily traded in pairs against BTC. The Steem/BTC chart on Bittrex is a complete non-event. People are fleeing Bitcoin. It would be nice if they fled into Steem, but alas it can't always go our way.
Poloniex is not that different. It has more volume overall and has gone a little lower, and it's complicated by the fact that withdrawals and deposits are not possible. Still, no real story here.
