Already I am bothered. Granted, I am new around here but I've noticed a few things trending that get under my skin.
I am really beginning to enjoy this forum. It keeps me in the practice of writing, even when I'm not working on my book. It helps me unwind after work. I like having a random thought and being able to share my idea with others.
Beyond that, I've noticed a lot of posts that quite literally beg for votes and upsteems. Posts begging for followers. Posts that have a picture with a title that leads one to believe there's some information about it inside, then once you've clicked it, it simply says Vote-Follow-Upsteem.
Naturally, I do the opposite.
I know I'm not alone in this. I do love many of your original photographs and stories. There are many things of interest and that's why I stay. I hope to see more of those. Thanks for all the feedback I receive from those of you who stop by and read my articles.
From my perspective, this steemit community should be more like making friends and acquaintances and less of a popularity contest. I do realize this will happen anytime there is any type of currency involved. That's the nature of the beast. Well, who knows, maybe I'm thinking about this wrong.
I'll just keep writing for you because I love it. I'm willing to take my chances.
