Muntingia calabura
(Muntingia calabura) locally called kersen or kersem is a kind of tree as well as small and sweet fruit with red color.
In several other countries this plant is named with datiles, aratiles, manzanitas (Philippines); mât sâm (Vietnam); khoom sômz, takhôb (Laos); takhop farang (Thailand); krâkhôb goods (Cambodia); and enough siam (Malaysia).
Also known as capulin blanco, cacaniqua, nigua, niguito (Spanish); Jamaican cherry, Panama berry, and Singapore cherry (UK). The Dutch used to call it Japanse kers ("cherry jepan)which then from here it is taken to be kersen in Indonesian or some call it cherries.
