I would probably admire the lake from the shore :) It sounds very cold.

It's indeed strange that there are motor boats but you can't bring your snorkeling equipment. It doesn't sound that pristine to me. I'm even surprised that you can swim in there.

I would expect that it would be used as a drinking water source but apparently it is not.
