Continuing with the pollination issue, it is important to know that this is a vital process for all flowering plants, and nature has ensured that it is successful.
Unlike animals, plants cannot move in search of a partner, and they have to rely on the help of external forces (wind, water, insects) to transfer pollen to another plant, to create new seeds.
Self-pollination (when a plant is pollinated by its own pollen), the stigma is pollinated by the pollen of the same flower or the pollen of other flowers of the same instance of the plant.
Cross pollination. In cross pollination, plants can produce two main types of plants: monoecious and dioecious.
Self-pollination is usually carried out in blooming flowers, but sometimes it also occurs in closed, non-blooming flowers.
A large number of fruit crops require pollinating insects to ensure normal pollination (apples, tall blueberries, blackberries, cherries, blueberries, pears, plums, raspberries, strawberries).
A sufficient number of pollinators is necessary during flowering to ensure sustainable cultivation. The proper pollination:
Pollination is the transfer of anther pollen (male part) into the stigma (female part) of a flower. As a result of pollen transmission, fertilization and seed formation occurs.
The seeds, in turn, stimulate tissue growth around the ovaries. A color with a higher fertilization rate forms a greater number of seeds and, therefore, a larger size of fruits and berries.
In agriculture, pollination is mainly carried out by bees.
Pollination is very important for a plant because species conservation depends on it. And cross pollination, when pollen is transferred to the stigma of another flower, on the same or another plant, but of the same species, can lead to mutations that will help this species better adapt to the environment.
