So, now that I could stay upright most of the time, along with my instructor and my group of novices we headed to the slopes.

Normally, we would have been able to practice a bit closer to the village, but because of the lack of snow that year, we had to start using the ski lifts while we were still beginners.

These lifts are not designed for novices and I fell over more than once, but it's all part of the fun.

We were treated to many spectacular views from the upper slopes.

We had some amazing days on the slopes, slowly getting more comfortable on skis.

We also had an incredible view on the way down, the ski-lift descending into the clouds.

Amazing to think we had spent the day skiing above the clouds.

Of course we have to end the day with a gluwein at the apres ski.
