JOURNEY TO ENJOY A BEAUTIFULL SCENERY AROUND THE LAKE IN TAKENGON CITY
Hello Everyone...
Yesterday I visited and travel to Takengon, the one of beautiful place in the Aceh province, Indonesia. Takengon is place in a highland surrounded by beautiful mountains around it, and the recomended place in Takengon is Danau Laut Tawar lake. This lake is very big and has very impressive mountain views, especially in the morning.
I'm gonna start to narrate our journey to this beautifull place from the beginning, we drove quite a distance and spent about 6 hours on the way. Our trip went through the forest and mountains, so the trip was a little fun because we were enjoying the scenery in our trip. There are two different way to get to this place, and some of our friends chose different way because close to their house. There are six of us, me and three of my friends and three others I just met, and when we get there we will meet at a rally point that we have set.
Traveling in mountainous areas there are always many sharp turns, steep descents, and also climbs. Therefore we are very careful here. However, driving here is very pleasant during the day and very scary at night because the houses and buildings are sparse, it will be very dark at night.
Driving on roads like this requires extreme caution and relying on firm brakes. Sometimes when driving a vehicle, we don't focus on the sharp turns that suddenly come from the front making us panic, therefore when we drive here we have to look and be aware of the road in front of us before accelerate our vehicle.
On the way, we took a rest at one of the iconic spots on this route. This place emits natural spring water from the mountains, the riders usually rest here to unwind and wash their faces with this spring. The water is very cool like ice water even during the day, after washing our faces here it's as if we are fresh again and ready to continue our journey. Washing your face here is free of charge and is intended for those who want to rest here.
After six hours, we arrived at the Takengon City, which is the place where the tourist attraction that we will enjoy is located. This city is the same as cities in general, with its populations density and bustle. We arrived at 4:45 PM, after refueling, we headed straight for our destination, which is the largest lake tourist spot in this city, name is Danau Laut Tawar.
And here we go, we arrived at the camping site on the side of the lake, with tents that had been prepared. The tents here are specifically for rent, and rent 2 tents for 6 people.
The price of one tent it will be 190.000 IDR or 12,35 USD, so because one tent is only for a maximum of 3 man, so we rent 2 tents with a total price is 380.000 IDR or 24,69 USD.
And we pay 10.000 IDR or 0,65 USD for parking rent.
Even though it can only fit for 3 man, this tent is very comfortable. Inside it is also given a mat to sleep on and I also put my bag in the corner so it doesn't disturb. Because the corner is narrow, we use it to put our things so they don't get stepped on.
After tidying up our things and resting for a while after a long journey, in the evening we grilled chicken for dinner. As night falls it is very cold around here and so we take advantage of the fire from the toaster to warm ourselves up. Unfortunatelly, this place is not possible for us to make a bonfire because there is a tree beside it with low branches, in fear that if we make a big fire, the sparks of the fire upwards will burn the branch and spread all over the tree. As we know, the wind blows strongly at night because this place is right on the edge of the lake and is always blown by the wind from the surrounding mountains.
In the morning, we were greeted with a very beautiful view. Seen a calm lake and a very nice view of the mountain across from it. The sun rises slowly and shines its bright light from the eastern horizon. Around 7:17 AM, I woke up and saw this scene so I rushed to take a picture.
This very beautiful view is the purpose of people who visit here and this has become one of the preferred tourist destinations in this city. Moreover, in a few more days we as moeslim people will meet the month of Ramadhan, so i can say that in a few days before Ramadhan arrives, places like this will be filled with visitors.
My trip this time was very fun. Moreover, this is the first time I have camped on the edge of this lake.
and I hope I will be able to visit this place again in another time.
So that's my journey this time, I hope you like it and see you on another post.
