Hello Hive Learners, and happy Sunday for all of you...
Hello Hive Learners, and happy Sunday to all of you. As usual this Sunday we will be back to make something for Sunday-Creative, and I will be drawing again on Sunday-Creative this time. This time I will try to draw an Oriental Shark, which is where I got this idea after seeing someone's tattoo, of course the tattoo is very impressive with the shark and the paintings around it. I just took a quick look at it and impossible to drawing like that, but I'm going to try my own style and still put the shark as the main image.
For that, you can see the steps below...
Before drawing, I will prepare the necessary tools as usual, that was:
- Paper A4
- 2B Pencil
- Rubber Eraser
- Gell ink / Oil ink Pen
- Water Colour
- Colour Pencils
As usual, I'll start with a shark drawing using my favorite 2B pencil. Here, I'm going to start with the Shark because this is the main Highlight, and I intend to make it a circle later so I'm going to make this Shark shape curved to follow a semi circle shape.
If you find it difficult to draw in a circle, I suggest you use a rounder and draw a large circle for guidelines.
When I'm done with the rough shape, only then do I add details so I don't lose the concept. This time I will make this shark face the top while swimming in a turn.
And what I like here is the detail on the tail and fin, you can be creative with the tail and fin and make it wider or sharper as you like, but here I don't make it too wider and add a little torn detail on the tail.
And this is the important part. Here I started adding large flower images to make the Sharks and Flowers look circular, and in this section if you can't get them to be circles I suggest you use Rounders.
Apart from Flowers, I also added some Tribal and Foliage shapes to fill in the empty space in the middle, I also added Tribal shapes near the Shark's belly to the tail. I added these random tribals so that there isn't much empty space in the center of the image and makes the image denser.
When finished with my pencil, I made the lines in each image firmer and more visible, and for shark drawings I used a Gell Ink Pen / Oil Ink Pen where this type of pen can work over pencil strokes.
For pictures of flowers and a few others, I'll immediately thicken the lines with Water Color.
Entering the coloring stage, and as usual I combined Colored Pencils and Watercolors to produce beautiful colors and neat looks. I use Watercolor only for the lines, and for the rest I use Colored Pencils. I started on the flower, Tribal, and left the Shark for last.
As the saying goes, Save the Last for the Best.
And lastly I colored the Shark with Dark Blue on top and left the bottom part white. In this white part I will add a Light Blue gradation to make it look more 3D, and make the image more alive.
And this the Final result, i hope you like it...
I accidentally broke my beloved 2B Pencil, RIP my 2B Pencil.
That's my Oriental Shark drawing for this Sunday-Creative, and see you on Sunday-Creative next week.
