DRAWING AND COLORING A FLAMING MONSTER FOR MY SUNDAY CREATIVE ART
Hello Hive Learners and Happy Sunday for all of you...
Hello everyone, happy Sunday to all of you. As usual, when Sunday comes, we will make a Sunday -Creative post which in this Sunday-Creative post we will show all forms and in any field, such as DIY and also Art creativity. Because of that, this time I will also make a post about artistic creativity as usual for my Sunday-Creative post.
The object that I want to draw this time is a character that I adapted from a game that I often play. This character is in the form of a Monster and is a bit more like a Dinosaur, but here I will make it my own version and add fire effects on some of its sides.
For those of you who also want to draw it, you can follow the steps below...
Previously, of course, I used some of the equipment that is usually used when drawing, namely A4 Paper and also my favorite Colored Pencils.
The first step is as usual, that is, we start with the initial shape or initial sketch and this time I will start with the head first. Because this character is big, so I will finish it in two parts, namely the head and the body to the feet. I deliberately separated the head and I will finish it first because the head is more complicated than the other parts.
In this first stage, I used dark blue as the base color.
Next I will first color this part of the head with blue, as I said before that I will finish it in stages.
The important thing here is that the details on the head must have a darker color so that it still looks firm even if we overwrite it with the same color.
Next, I'm going to color the other parts with different colors, here I'm using yellow, red, and orange.
Apart from that I also added a green horn and I immediately used a green pencil to draw it.
Note for those of you who also want to draw it, it's a good idea to scratch it with a normal pencil for the initial scheme because if you go straight to it with colored pencils like me, you'll have a hard time erasing it with an eraser if something goes wrong.
When finished, I continued on to the top of his head, and here I made gradations and 3D effects around the base of his horns. For the horns themselves, I used dark green and light green, in which I outline them with dark green and the rest with light green. In this way, the combination of these two green colors gives a nice gradation to the horns.
When finished with the overall shape and color of the head, I also made a fire image on the back of his head, I used blue, and made gradients to make the fire image look 3D. This is where the hardest part is, where I have to make the fire gradation. To make it, you just need to pull your colored pencil from the tip of the flame to the inside, in this case you have to make one direction of pull and can't repeat it. It is from this pull that the gradation appears and you only need to align the color with each pull of the color line.
After finishing with the image of the fire, I continued with the body and legs. I didn't really highlight the body and just colored it orange. For the legs I again made a fire-like effect but with a pink color, I also made a shape like this on the tail with an orange color.
I'm still using the same gradient technique as before in this section. It's just that I didn't go all in with it and kept coloring the inside of the drawing. Unlike before, which was only at the end.
If you want the gradation to look livelier, you only need to make the part that is dark and that is roughly away from the light, actually determining it is very easy, you only need to imagine which part is exposed to the light or not.
After coloring all the parts, and tidying up a bit, my drawing is finished this time. It remains only to add a shadow stroke at the bottom and here it is the final result.
That's my Flaming Monster picture this time as my Sunday-Creative post this time, I hope you like it and see you on next week's Sunday-Creative post.
