Oct. 21, 22: Routine, Early Walk, CryptoShots, Pizza Trivia, Carbo...

[Oi! Crap! It’s already ten after nine and I’m only just getting started. Going to be a miracle if I can get done on time! ☹️]

Got to bed pretty late again last night, was after ten for sure. Up, as usual, in the night but I actually fell back asleep again all the way until about quarter past seven and ended with a full eight hours. 💪🥳

Got on with all the usual morning routine. Checked the crypto markets which were looking abysmal, did some curation, chatted on Discord, played WombPlay games, messed with Dungeon Master, shifted tokens, and then worked on my post for the day…all the normal morning stuff.

One thing was sort of different; when I checked COIN app there were two geodrops downtown. 😯. I couldn’t help myself, got suited up right quick and walked down there to snag them. Nobody had picked them up by the time I got there and I grabbed them both! 😁 Was only twenty COIN (about what a thirty second ad is worth 😂) but it did get me up and at ‘em.

Got back and finished up with my post, got it published and shared and then really should have gotten some work done, but…drumroll…I did sit down at the computer and dealt with HashKings and then tried out CryptoShots.

Did it work? Well, sort of. Not sure I really get it and it seems like playing is going to end up costing a lot in resources, but I did play a few rounds and earned some igBOOM and staked it. Not sure I’m particularly impressed with it…don’t really see myself being pinned to the computer running around the same level or two for as long as I can until they start charging me for it, but I might give it a go from time to time. I also didn’t seem to find the extra ammo I’m supposed to have, and they didn’t give any instructions for the controls. I recognize that it’s early, but it’s a bit borderline for me…works, yeah sort of.

Otherwise, got some lunch and messed around playing games and watching YouTube videos until it was time for Pizza Trivia! 🤑 Didn’t do too bad. Won around ten PIZZA or so and got ‘em staked up. 💪

After that there was about an hour until Wenche got home and I downloaded the new Beat Saber pack and played a few of the songs on there. Pretty much as soon as she got home, though, we headed into the big city to see my favorite band: Carbon Leaf! 😁

It was nice out actually, so waiting wasn’t bad and we found a parking spot almost immediately. Was really smooth getting there and we were right up toward the front of the line. I did my Splinterlands brawls while we were waiting and then made the decision to send my wombat into the dungeon for a full day…got two Well of Wealth challenges done with that run, but now I have to wait…

It’s been three years since I’d seen them and it was good to be back. Barry, the lead singer, did see my shirt (2005 fan shirt) and gave me nod again. 😄

There was supposed to be a new album out this year, but I guess that didn’t quite turn out, but instead they release the second half of the last album. 🤣 Nice to get some new music, though.

I got a shot of the setlist for the show (but didn’t look, just wanted to have a record). Was a really good show and they did a full R.E.M. cover. Carter was shredding the guitars!

Really awesome venue there, very intimate and we got right up close to the stage. It is really weird to sit the whole time, though, totally want to dance, but it’s a more subdued atmosphere there.

They did some oldies but goodies and a couple new songs as well. Was a super good show and I’m looking to get the bootleg when it’s available here in a day or two.

It was after eleven before we got home and we were still jazzed up, so it was well after midnight before we finally got to bed. Put on some Golden Girls and was out.

As far as I can tell dShitty hit über peak shittiness and didn’t pay out anything at all other than the token dust. 🤬🤬

I don’t know whether the drunks are still left over on Rising Star or if I got another set again, but my Ego is still at seven percent. 😡 Just continuing on with missions for now until they expire and then see if I need to do lessons or not (probably).

Believe it or not, I finally sat down at the computer today! Did I do any work whatsoever? No, of course not, I dealt with HashKings clicky clicky refresh refresh.

I did, sort of, play Splinterlands today. Not any season battles, but I had a brawl that I needed to get my battles in for. Once again, it was gold foil, and I had eight to put in, but I got them done standing in line waiting for the concert. 💪

I did get signed up for splex.gg to see about renting out my cards. I haven’t figured too much out, but got into the Discord and got officially logged, so that’s something I need to look further into.

Claimed my SPS interest for the day and it was the third day of leaving it liquid, so I had a chunk that I moved out. Got both SPS and vouchers sitting waiting on the market now, just haven’t swapped since everything seems to have been falling. (Now they’re into some sports bullshit too I guess…projects can’t ever seem to focus and do what they do well - spread themselves every whichaway and end up halfassing all of it - I don’t even want to play their main game).
