Mar. 15, 22: Routine, SM Season Ends, Oculus, Web Work, TV, and Games
[Got teaching again today, but started pretty early on my post this morning. Hopefully will be able to get it done in time.]
Believe it or not, I made it all the way from nine to nearly six this morning! š„³ I was still, officially, about twenty minutes short of eight hours, but Iām going to call it good enough since itās the closest Iāve been in quite some time! Not only that, I didnāt drag too hard in the afternoon and actually sat down and worked at the computer. šŖ
Not too much happening during the morning routine other than checking the markets and seeing that Iām losing even more now against ETH, weeee! Iām over .82 gone now, lovely! Otherwise, just the usualā¦took care of changes in Solairitas membership, did some curation, watched some news on YouTube, got caught up with pings on Discord, hit the faucets, and did my Wordleā¦all the normal stuff that eats my mornings every day.
I did do a little cleaning up in the kitchen after I got my post done, but I was trying to get ahead of myself and get my urge to procrastinate out of my system quick so that Iād have the afternoon (hopefully - provided I didnāt lay down) to try and do some work on the website (after days and days of making myself feel bad about it).
I didnāt feel like getting all sweaty and tired playing Beat Saber, so I did a one hundred piece puzzle on Puzzling Places and then quit out to get some lunch. At one hundred this one was already pretty tough since the puzzle itself is so small; the four hundred piece version is going to be hair-pulling.
After I got my lunch I started to drag a little bit, but I also got the impulse to work and rather than fighting it and feeling bad, I figured the only way to fix it was to sit down and try to fix it, which is exactly what I did.
Did I solve the problem? No. Did I verify that the ideas I was going to try wouldnāt work? Yes, I did. š So fucking stupid that I canāt run any Hive code on the back end because itās in JavaScript and running it on the front end compromises itās security. š¤¬š”š¤¬š”𤬠The best I can tell is: Iām completely fucked and wasted my time and money for the last year.
I did work on getting the 500 error from the AJAX call to the database worked out, but not completely solvedā¦pretty sure itās a syntax issue with some single quotes on the values, but not exactly sure how to fix it. Seems like I had the same issue before, so going to check the other code to see if I can figure the workaround.
I also was able to incorporate the getAccount call, extract the public active key and store it in the $_SESSION so that itās available and the function only needs to be called once at login. Not sure there was really any point to that anyway, though, since now the backend PHP has access to the key, but the JavaScript doesnātā¦might add a hidden field to store it in the HTML since itās not sensitive and wonāt matter if itās altered (I donāt think).
So I did, sort of, make some progress and I can say that I focused and worked, but itās not the good news I had hoped for, at least not yet.
I was still working when Wenche got home. Iād intended on starting the tacos before she got home, but got embroiled, so she ended up making them for us for dinner and we binged more Good Girls and I played my Splinterlands until a relatively late bedtime.
What can I say, what is there to say about dShitty that I havenāt said already every day for like the last year (or at least since the new āupdateā)? Getting four SIM a day when I should be getting hundreds is a perpetual slap in the face. Just got to throw General crime in there to add insult to injury.
Really not a lot to mention about Rising Star. Went in once or twice and did missions, but itās really boring at this point and I still havenāt realized any gain for my timeā¦starting to sour a little bit? š¤
Since I was on the computer today and was annoyed that my harvested BUDS were sitting idle, I went in and crafted a few joints. It takes ages, though, for the transaction to complete, so I still donāt even know if they ever came through (need to check on that).
My MOTA that was improperly staked because the mobile version is broken got unstaked today and I put it into the Mexico pool. Was only two more, so I donāt think it will have an effect at this point, but itās progress to getting more seeds eventually.
I did check the market and there seems to be a Mexico plot available for a bit cheaper, but I still donāt have the liquid. š¢
Four days left:
Today was the end of the Splinterlands season and I didnāt want to play, so it ended up being quite late before I finally couldnāt abide missing a dayās quest and started in. It sucked, as expected, and the DEC rewards were stupidly low for some reason (usually higher the first couple days), but I did at least get my quest done for today.
I really wanted to get caught up, but it was late and I was already pretty frustrated, so I left it for this morning and you know how that goesā¦
Got a couple cards and a bit of DEC, so moderate rewards for the day:
Not particularly very good season rewards again this time. š¢ Got a couple epics, I suppose, and a few rare, but piddly DEC or potions for the most part otherwise. I did get one pack, though:
The pack turned out to be pretty good! Got another summoner and a gold foil:
Just staked my SPS drop, as usual, (which fell by a whopping five today š¤¬) and vouchers are just killing me languishing below a dollarā¦been wanting to sell those out ever since the Waka sale. š
