July 12, 22: Routine, Upstairs Work, PIMP Meeting, LP Meeting, Oculus, TV, and Games

[I don’t know, man, the last week has been absolutely relentless. Got teaching all day today, need to get gas, need to print the final exams and take one up to the testing center for a student, then I have an extra meeting with the class on Zoom tomorrow and probably another Libertarian meeting, so it’s not letting up yet.]

Slept nine to five today, but with the usual waking up and tossing and turning, I still ended up over an hour short. 😢 I did drag a little in the afternoon, but mostly kept it going, didn’t crash out at least.

Did the usual morning routine and cryptos were looking red again for the most part. BTC still more or less pegged around twenty thousand, but most painfully, HIVE took a solid six percent dive. 😭 I’m still hanging on, though, trying not to throw in the towel and lock in my losses…been in that holding pattern for longer than I care to admit at this point. 😡

I did my post early since today was the last day we had the dumpster. I had no idea when they were coming, but I had a little time before the weekly PIMP meeting, so I did about forty-five more minutes of work. Most of it is out, but there was still some plaster along the edges of the walls and I used the shop vac to get up what I could and then get the ladder and everything put away and make sure to throw everything we needed to get rid of in there while we had it.

It ended up being big enough, but we certainly put some stuff in there:

They didn’t come until later in the afternoon, but I quit a little before nine so I could grab a shower and then attend the PIMP meeting. Witty’s house burned down a couple weeks back, so he’s been pretty busy with all that and so it was only like three of us there for the meeting, but we bullshitted for a while until I had to go to another meeting.

Met with a member of the Judicial Committee of the Libertarian Party of Michigan to discuss the procedure for challenging the officer votes that took place at the Convention on Saturday. I was pleased that he sounded like he was taking the matter seriously and was trying his best to remain objective. That made me feel better since, until I spoke with him, it seemed like there was no procedure in place. I’m not alone in this challenge either, there’s at least two others who didn’t agree with the way it went down, which makes me feel a little better as well.

Next step is to file a formal challenge, then a hearing will be convened and then the Committee will deliberate and give their verdict. I’m certain that we will win since the vote of no confidence was to remove the Chair, but the person removed was the 2nd Chair acting as Chair, so the whole thing was invalid…trouble is, I think if we win the challenge the Executive Committee could then just replace the Chair, so the whole thing might end up being a waste of time. We’ll have to see.

Once my work and meetings were done, I tried really hard to get myself to relax and calm down a bit. It was hard and I didn’t do that well, but I did go in and do a little more beta testing on Into the Radius on Quest 2. Unfortunately, I got killed and the mission item I needed spawned on the roof of a building, so I have to start all over again, I’m pretty sure. 😡

Hung out and listened to music with Creo over in Pizza Discord for a bit and then Wenche made us turkey tacos for dinner. Basically plopped in front of the tube for the rest of the evening, but I was mostly paying attention to Splinterlands and then crashed out.

It’s looking like my dShitty income is starting to fall again, but at least for today I did alright, got that whole seventy SIM for the down payment on my Lambo.

I did actually remember to go in on Rising Star twice today. The drunk fans still haven’t expired, but got three missions going in between. Very likely going to need to do some lessons once they’re gone.

While I did take the time to clean off all the plaster and insulation that had fallen from the ceiling all over my desk and brand new computer 🤬 but I didn’t sit down to work or take care of HashKings. I did win some more stuff from Pizza giveaways, though.

We were coming right up against the end of the season and I really didn’t want to leave it in Gold, so I played quite a bit this evening.

Broke back up into Diamond, but just barely.

Had a chance to get in a few more battles before my focus expired and ended with ten chests. Not great rewards, but I did get another pack:

Otherwise, staked my SPS drop, as usual, and still haven’t sold any vouchers. 😡 Seems like it’s been a couple weeks; they need to go back up!!

Got my stats for last week. I’d still say it’s pretty rough, but at least my sleep average has gone up a bit. No #DoubleDays in there, but not too bad overall I suppose.
