Alright, wicked!!! Another #DoubleDay! #DoubleDoubleDay? 😄. Between getting up early enough to nail the #AutomaticWin and teaching, my lifetime average is starting to rise up again! 😊
Got my usual routine done, except for posting, and then headed out. I seem to be precessing a bit, posting later and later in the day. It’s alright, though, there isn’t any real deadline other than the pressure I put on myself to get it done.
I think we might be pushing double digits here on not seeing the sunshine. Basically constant clouds ☁️ for over a week...starting to really miss my star.
Dooger said “Here’s what I think about your posting pictures of me online.” 😝
Mrs. Peepers lives in a hollowed out tree. She’s the local neighborhood watch and is an excellent source of information regarding the goings on about town. If you like gossip, Mrs. Peepers’ is the place to go!
Haven’t seen the cranes that usually hang out down at that pond, or really anything moving for that matter. I bet, beneath the ice, far from prying eyes, fishes are pooping. 😂
We only had one measly zombie today! That’s ok, though, the doggy hasn’t really been into running from zombies anyway, kinda’ have to drag him along.
It seems that my foray into Diamond is destined to be brief. I had Dragon splinter for my daily quest, and considering I have a gold Jumper and Vigilator, it should have been relatively easy. Not so much. Lost back to below 2700.
Although it took two days, one where I missed completing the quest altogether, I did get enough DEC for a quest potion 🧪 and got a couple good rewards cards:
That Silvershield Assassin is seriously useful, especially with another card that has rally! Doing double boosted damage on the backend can be seriously devastating.
Still playing Holybread. So far I’ve been quite successfull. I’m scared, though, that it won’t be long before I hit a ceiling and start getting frustrated with it as well. For now, it’s definitely fun.
In the evening I taught calculus. We started a new section today, which is a significant change of gears from what we have been doing.
I taught integration by parts (the integral analogue to the product rule for derivatives). This is much more formulaic and procedural than volume and arclength and surface area, which are applications of integration and involve a great deal of visualization; by parts is more like the “math” students are familiar with. That’s not to say that it’s particularly easy, though.
