To be quite frank, today turned out to be about as productive as I had expected despite my grand designs. That new Oculus game was just simply too tempting.

Slept from eight thirty till about five, so not too bad there, but with the cat and snoring interrupting, I still ended up an hour short on solid sleep. It hasn’t been too bad, though, as far as dragging in the afternoon, so I guess I’m not too far behind.

There wasn’t really all that much usual about the usual morning routine. I mean, did my curation, checked Discord pings, hit the faucets, all that usual stuff was the same, but cryptos been giving me a serious headache. 🤬 We’ve retracted well below forty thousand in the BTC market, HIVE of course took it even more seriously and is well below a dollar, and basically all my Aave investment is down…that is, when I can even get in!

That’s where the nightmare begins. 😡 Seems that for the last several weeks, more often than not, Aave won’t even load but just presents a blank, white screen. Even when it does load, for the past two days I haven’t been able to get any transactions through. 🤬🤬 I did claim my piddly FIRE income from the last two weeks and was able to swap it into MATIC, but then got stuck.

Couldn’t get a swap through anywhere and balancer.fi just fired an array error at me (in other words their shit wasn’t even programmed right) and when I decided to just deposit into Aave and try to swap there, I don’t even get a transaction hash (so the transaction isn’t even pending). I don’t know if it’s Apple fucking with my Metamask or Aave that can’t get their shit together or what…layers of things that could be going wrong, but it’s a pain in my ass either way.

Spent some time shifting and staking H-E tokens, but that’s an endless battle and I didn’t finish my wallet, let alone clean up Solairitas’. 😢 Speaking of which, we did sell 25 more SOL yesterday, so went in and powered that up. 💪

Otherwise, dinked around on Pizza server for a while and watched some live art with chill music. Got my post done and shared for the day…on that vein, they’ve made changes to the POSH rules now. For one, they only ever voted me like twice in the year that I’ve been participating, so it wasn’t really worth eating a tag for, but I did it for the sake of participation. Plus, the POSH tokens started and even though I still have failed to find any use case or value in them, they seem to have retained some and so I’ve held onto them.

Now, I guess, you can’t share your own post, but someone else’s, and then you have to go jump through hoops commenting on some other post or whatever…too much work, to many unclear rules, and not really all that much benefit (at least that I’ve encountered), so I’m strongly considering dumping the tokens out for whatever I can get for them. I’m not removing the tag yet, but I don’t see much point in using it; don’t think anyone else is going to be tweeting my posts, I mean, why would they other than to clutter their profile (and maybe get tokens? 🤷)?

As I mentioned, though, I’d downloaded that new escape room game for the Oculus and it was about as much as I could handle sitting there waiting for the goddam brofund bot so I could post and jump in to try it out.

It is totally fun and the puzzles are procedurally generated, so it looks like there’s some replay value as well. Just been playing through the first few rooms on the easiest level, but it looks like there might be ways to die on harder levels! We’ll see later. For now just playing them through.

I did the first three rooms and made it out in pretty good time! Three starred the first and third, but only two stars on the second. There’s primary objective points and secondary points both to earn and tally at the end. The secondary ones seem mostly to be finding various gems hidden around the map, but some do involve finding keys and solving some puzzles. I’m a little worried that the levels are all going to be very similar to eachother (so far they’ve been like all in a basement of a castle or something like that), but I’m definitely enjoying it so far.

Hopped out and grabbed some lunch. I did do some chores at that point, cleaned up in the kitchen and folded and put away the clean laundry to clear the table to work on the website…but I didn’t. I jumped back in and played some more VR. 😱

That was basically it for the day. When Wenche got home she made us chicken and rice and salad for dinner and we watched the rest of the new season of Space Force. That didn’t last very long! 😢 Already back to hunting around for something to watch.

I did do a little prep for teaching tomorrow so I was a bit more solid than Monday and could make sure to get a proper post done before having to head into work.

Otherwise, played out my Splinterlands quest for the day and then got ready for bed. I did have some steps left, but not that many actually, so finished them out and then hit the sack.

dShitty has been persistent with this extreme level of shittiness lately…can’t help but wonder if it’s something I need to change. I already dug through a thousand menus and all I could find was that the taxes are greater than a hundred percent (which isn’t possible) and I can’t do anything about. 🤬 Maybe it’s time to leave this game where its namesake suggests it belongs: the shitter.

I’m finding that Rising Star is less and less of a priority lately. I’m went in the morning, reset my mission and took my daily photo, but then that was it. I got working on H-E (which means typing the address) and then both didn’t think of it and it’s just a hassle to type out the whole address and my username yet again for the thousandth time. I don’t know, I don’t resent it or anything yet, but losing interest fast.

Played quite a bit of Splinterlands today. Finished up my Dragon quest from yesterday in the afternoon so it resets at a later time of day and then played through my quest for today to get caught back up.

With only about six days left in the season, I finally got up into Gold I. I still see the possibility of Diamond this season, but I’m not holding out hope of making as far as last time.

Got my Dragon quest done just over the borderline. Got a chunk of DEC and an Untamed pack:

For today’s quest I had three wins without neutral monsters and was able to get it done fairly quickly. Not as good rewards, but a couple cards for upgrade fodder:

No moves with my vouchers today. Got ten waiting to sell and the price has remained fairly stable around two dollars each, so I did consider it, but wasn’t feeling so itchy today, not so “risk on,” and I left them sit.

Likewise, just staked my SPS drop for today. Having not earned any DEC from battles yesterday, I did see a noticeable decline in my drop. 😢 So hard to keep it stable. I have like $75 worth of funds in the DEC pool, but it aggravates me that I’m getting like one percent interest when I could be getting more than a hundred in the 1UP pool…I suppose that one percent is better than just parking DEC in game for the drop points, so I want to pull out but I don’t want to pull out. 🤔
