I would like to share how I would have done this movie with no other characters at all but her and the predator, she is completely alone. No other pointless side characters that don't matter. Make any reason why she is alone, her tribe all died beforehand or whatever.
And it is just her, a more experienced hunter who knows the land very well, against the more physically dominant and better armed predator who is less trained and doesn't know the land as well. A proper game of cat and mouse, wit and skill versus Brawn and weaponry, that would be a good move.
And they have to figure each other out
What the movie did right was the scenic stuff, the land shots, the foggy areas, you could do allot of cool stuff with it. A more quiet at times film, which is what hunting is, especially when you don't have fire arms. Stealthy, she has to take her time and learn what it is she is dealing with, without getting killed in the process.
I would love a predator movie like that
We could also see the predator learning as well, figuring out what he is dealing with, that his prey is actually a threat, so he has to learn on the fly since he lacks the skill of other seasoned predators.
It realizes that his brawn is not going to be enough. Ughh, the movie had so much potential, but the writing and characters were squandered in my opinion.
