India is stepping up its fight against child pornography. The Supreme Court wants the Centre to create a dedicated agency to curb circulation of child porn and sexual abuse videos. It wants an online portal and a hotline number to record anonymous complaints. WhatsApp and other messaging services must report objectionable content and make complaint logging easier, the apex court said. It also directed the government to work with internet service providers and clamp down on search terms that directs netizens to child porn.
