People use 0 to 60 kmph or 0 to 100 kmph as a metric to describe how powerful a motorcycle is. Personally, I find those numbers interesting, but useless from a practical standpoint. They would make sense to me if I was into drag racing. But I'm not. I'm more interested to know how much time a motorcycle takes to go from 100 kmph to 160 or 180 kmph while sitting on the topmost gear. That tells me whether my ride will be smooth or whether I will need to down shift a gear to get the motorcycle to do what I want it to do.
The thing about these these big, tall and heavy adventure motorcycles is that they may not be fun to ride off-road, unless you are adequately skilled and have a low sense of self preservation. But they are an absolute joy to cruise on highways. The Moto Guzzi Stelvio 1200 NTX is pretty high in the power department. Without getting into the incriminating details, let's just say the Italian expressways are long and straight for the most part. I leave it up to you to deduce the rest.
Absolutely no down shifting was required. ;-)
