And what closes the loop? Only the owner of the Steemit-Market who takes deposits in BTC, sell STEEM at $3.80... then buys STEEM back at $3.00. So this is by design so owner can charge a 30% exchange fee

Actually, you regularly see SBD trading in at $1.30 to $1.40 premium. Usually during a STEEM rally. But it also shows the Steemit Market is broken and poorly designed. I doubt this is an accident.

SBD trading at a premium on Polo... means STEEM is trading at a discount on Steemit Market. So you can't "repeat" via Step 5. But this works if you previously stock-piled SBD at $1.00 USD and

The internal market has no transaction fees. So the volume is fake. It costs nothing to inflate volume in order to take the "liquidity rewards" while providing no real liquidity.
