Elon Musk and Twitter received backlash by users imposing rate limits in limiting the number of posts users can view. New unverified users can view 300 posts, unverified accounts 600 while verified accounts can now view 6000 posts per day. These policies according to a report have caused some users moving to other platforms.
Mark Zuckerberg had a better opportunity to launch Meta's Twitter clone platform, Threads app which according to a report saw an impressive turn out on its first day of release.

Mark Zuckerberg has taken a swipe at Elon Musk’s Twitter as his competitor to the platform, Threads, reached 30m sign-ups less than 24 hours after launching.
The competitive move from Zuckerberg towards Twitter has already said to have caused Musk challenging Zuckerberg to a cage fight. Well, it does seem funny to see Mark offering a cage fight to Zuckerberg as a business rivalry is not something to be decided in a cage fight to see who wins lol.
It does look like Musk is feeling the heat.
But anyway, according to a Tweet by Not The Bee on Twitter about the censorship, this might be concerning for some to see Meta's new Thread platform censoring users with unapproved thoughts. This is not how platforms work. If this is really the case, then users may have many other options as well besides Thread or Twitter.
Thsi is something that could ignite the need for web3 decentralized social media platforms supporting short form content like what we have on Hive with the name #LeoThreads.
It may take time for people to understand the decentralized nature of these web3 platforms but if they get to dive deeper into it and understand how it work probably they might like to join.
