It's a way of helping you secure data of the audience. Polls is about simplicity. If you look at those surveys, polls has an advantage over it. Surveys might have a low response as that could be sort of time consuming and it might also require more work.
Twitter poll feature is one of the popular thing on the internet with some influencers utilizing the feature and gathering poll feedback from the followers.
