Empty pockets sometimes could teach us some good lessons in our life. How many people you have heard of, who struggled in the early stages of their life and now they are living a life being independent financially.
An empty pocket is a situation that you might face anytime. Me being working in a public office working 9 to 5 five days a week, don't receive enough salary to save some for the rainy days.
This is why when inflation has grown significantly for us, it affected many including myself. There were situations when I had to take a loan in order to meet my expenses.

I am sort of a guy, who is not much of a saver as well because oftentimes when I wanted something to buy, I would buy it without thinking to rather save it for the rainy days.
With the recent developments, things got tougher a little and I had to cut some of my extra expenses in order to meet my expenses within my salary.
The month I started controlling my extra expenses or in other words my wants, I did pretty well. At least I didn't take a loan thankfully.
I have somehow learned how to control myself or how to cut my extra expenses which is a good thing for a guy like myself because I have been working for public offices and wasn't able to save any money.
Some people start trying to work hard and look into side hustles in a situation when their pockets get empty. Depends on people how cope with these sorts of situations. Some just work hard and look for new ways of generating income which in the end sometimes proves good for them making them financially independent.
Thankfully I believe this type of tough situation has learned me a lesson about how to control my extra expenses or cut my extra expenses.
