Taking a look at Ocean Planet.

In an effort to find other ways to stack crypto, besides writing, I found another Hive based game. It is called Ocean Planet and I 'm guessing that is loosely based off of Water World.

Ocean Planet is set in a world where everything has been flooded by the ocean. And, since things above the ocean are bad, things below the ocean are desired for doing things like making boats, getting a haircut or growing a farm. So, as the ever eager entrepreneur, you set out in your tow-truck boat to pull up trash or treasure from the ocean bottom ruins of the Old World.

To start out, you only can go to 2 places. The Box Ship, a container cargo ship that has crashed and sunk and the Market, a shopping mall at the bottom of the ocean. This is not the Market, where you can buy NFT cards being traded, on the main map.

You can enter the other areas by buying a pass. So, up to this point, the game is free to play. You go to the Market or Box Ship, using the arrow keys to reach your final destination. Then, in the next screen, you use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move the ship back and forth and then click on the yellow up (green) and down (red) controller to grab some dirt.

If you are successful in grabbing some dirt , you need to click on each dirt pile (which varies) to clean it off to reveal the contents. Most of the time it is empty, but you can get a lot of times in one dirt collection. After you have revealed your haul, you click on it to move it to your storage. You can stack like things by clicking on them and moving them over the similar item. However, there are limits to the number of items you can stack, which is based on the item itself. For example, you can stack 5 rocks or you can stack 25 fish. If you find a crate, then those contain cards. Obviously, the crates take up more room, so you have to be careful about what you take. The best option is to head back to sell your junk before you have filled up the last 4 spots in your cargo hold.

I am going to guess that you can upgrade your ship to bigger cargo holds and grabbers. You can upgrade your crew to add more luck in getting more trash.

Going to and from the main base, Glory Waters, takes time. You can skip the time by using shrimp, which is an in game item. Maybe this will be useful if the times were really long, but right now, this is time free to do other things while the ship is going back.

Once you are back in Glory Waters, you can go to the Farm (Jack), Lab (Gary), Garage (Lola), or Market (Spike) to sell your junk. Each place only buys certain things.

And that's where the Ocean Planet Game Guide comes in handy.

Bookmark it!

There is a cart on that page that tells you what Farm (Jack), Lab (Gary), Garage (Lola), or Market (Spike) will buy from you and what they will pay for your junk. This is important, because one of them might pay more than the other and this information isn't available on the game itself (as far as I can see).

The Armory is the place you can open crates, which costs 5 C24 (CRYPTEX) to open. You get 5 C24 at the start, but obviously that won't last you very long. The developer promises that you will be able to craft things in a future upgrade. When you can craft things, you can craft a crow bar to open your own crates.

But, here's the catch. You have to have a Citizenship in order to sell your junk.

As you can see, when you open a crate, you only get a fragment of a card. So you have to find several crates and a whole lot of junk in order to get a card, if you don't buy it straight out.

Currently, the Citizenship card is on sale for 5 HBD and the other license and pass for the other areas are on sale for 7 HBD. I guess you can, in theory, find enough crates to get a Citizenship card, but then how do you sell the trash to open the crates without a Citizenship card?

A lot of the places don't do anything yet, so there is plenty of room for growth in the game. There is also something about farming, cooking fish to make food and of course crafting. I guess you can also upgrade your shack as well.

This game takes more time to play, which might be good for keeping away the bots. But, it might not be good for getting people interested.

They also do Was air drops on their discord channel, so that might be useful in playing the game.
