This art piece is another work i did in the course of my school work. Basically, we were asked to do anything interesting making use of two colour. As at that time, my creative juices were offline and as a result, i decided to do a self potrait using a black and white format.
The two colour to be used were black and yellow. The first thing was to convert my picture into black and white. After doing this, three different shades were deduced from it; dark tone, middle tone and highlight. The dark tone being my black, the middle tone being yellow and the highlight the colour of the paper itself - white.
Like i said in one of my earliest post, due to the intense rush as at time of production, i don't have any work in progress shots. I would just quote the process verbatim. The first stage was printing yellow on the whole page with the parts tagged white blocked with pieces of lino. The part of the lino that is black is then pressed on the yellow surface after it has dried.
P.S. I decided to have a little fun with the artwork and i made a digital work with it using scribblings.
