In a recent post of mine, https://steemit.com/art/@dean-mno/a-design-for-the-body-of-a-calabash
I posted a blueprint design on paper which is supposed to be transferred into a real calabash.
Finally, the design had been executed. In producing this art work, I made use of the following materials:
a. Glue
b. Gouache paint
c. Brushes
d. Tape
e. Fixative
Due to the sheer amount of workload on me, I forgot to take pictures detailing the process. (so sorry). So am just giving a literal explanation.
STEP 1
This involves using the glue to prime the body of the calabash.
STEP II
Transferring the paper deign into the calabash.
STEP III
This painting of the calabash starts. When painting, tape are used in blocking the edges so as to get straight borderlines
STEP IV
In finishing the work, fixative is applied so as to give the work a glossy finish
