Remembrance

Silhouettes of trees high in a dark cloudless sky -- and the moon in crest with a halo that radiates a strange energy -- complemented by chirping crickets and their songs carried through a warm mid summers night breezes.

Every single hair on my body is stimulated with cool sweet feeling from the memory of her voice -- as I lay gazing at the stars.

Those beacons of light start to blur and dance as tears form in my eyes;

crying is understanding that what you had you have lost and that maybe you account for its cost,

acknowledging this through pain is bitter sweet -- knowing it's just waking up that hurts now.
