I'd agree, though most youtubers who open packs for content tend to be really fucking annoying or come off kind of autistic, so I have to watch everything at 2x speed. I figured this way is just more chill to watch.
It lasted for about 2 or 3 months and then died off pretty quickly, I feel like. It was great content, but, also extremely expensive to keep making. And, a lot of those people thought they were going to get PSA 10 cards back and make all their funds back or profit, and ended up getting dicked down hard. I know Mizkif for example got almost no PSA 10's and spent 150k on cards during that mania, so he lost a ton of money. (You could probably make an argument that he grew his streams and sub count with the content though, I suppose.)
It would be cool if that did happen, and also just a good way to boom the economy of spliterlands/gods unchained/etc. I feel like we're a ways off from seeing that happen though, there's too much negative feelings surrounding NFT's for the general public. I watch a good handful of people who are in the top 100 streamers in terms of size on twitch, and I've not heard a single one of them say anything good about NFT's, they always shit on them and just go on about how it's such a stupid concept. Who knows though, maybe in 5 or 6 years from now everyone's feelings will do a 180 and this shit will be bussin, dawg.
