We guys with our suggestion-based toolboxes. Maybe it's in the genes, I don't know. Or has something to do with wearing jeans. Once again...
And sorry to those of you out there, who don't own or have access to them. Maybe it's not universal. But I get in trouble often enough to suggest otherwise.
Loved your write. The story was fun and breezy, like the beach. And the last part was great with the hat. You have a ways with words. I do so love the Freewrite as well. Though I've butchered it up quite a bit in relation to the old time clock thing. But I guess it's all about creativity. Or whatever one might call it. At least @mariannewest doesn't seem to mind. But for some reason, having a prompt, and then the stimuli of further reason, kicks the creative juices from idea to some written words. Sometimes LOTS of words. But it IS downright fun.
Glad you commented, and I found your site. I so enjoy stories about the small joys of everyday life, and particularly if they are sprinkled with humor. The world needs more humor in my book. I've just recently discovered @ginnyannette as well, and so now have a few new folks to read about life's peculiarities with a bit (or a lot) of mirth tossed in. Cheers to a nice day way down yonder.
