You can choose to schedule things i guess. You downvote post as you have to, then take a rest. Then downvote again. Annoying things can be ignored sometimes but we cannot always show we are ok with it. So downvoting is a necessity in hive, it shouldn't be treated as nuisance. Besides, if you are in a community and have the capability to protect, why let it be destroyed by foreign objects? Or animals? Or users maybe..😅 and i am not a fan of dispute but i am not ok being targeted by bullies. Just stating my opinion.
