Twitch - video streaming company bought by Amazon - returned to offer payment option using Bitcoin, through CoinBase
Two years ago Twitch had a partnership with a payment company - focused on games - called Xsolla to support payments in different ways, which included Bitcoin.
But the development team Xsolla eliminated Bitcoin as payment, so that people who do not have access to debit and credit cards could no longer use the Twitch platform.
Since then, both the gaming community as the Bitcoin community pressure on Twitch to turn them to accept payments in Bitcoin because it facilitates the modeling of digital content.
Thus, last August 21, the Twitch came to accept payment via CoinBase, pleasing both communities who were dissatisfied.
More interesting than the fact the Twitch have passed to accept Bitcoin is that a company of the Amazon group have spent selling in Bitcoin. This may represent an important step towards the adoption of Bitcoin as a universal currency.
