Fingerstyle guitar is the technique of playing the guitar by plucking the strings directly with the fingertips, fingernails or picks attached to fingers, as opposed to Flatpicking. Commonly Fingertsylist uses an acoustic guitar. Basically, they combine rhythm, strumming, plucking, and melody using only a guitar.
You can search on Sungha Jung a 'South-Korean Fingertylist', I think he is the most popular fingerstylist in this generation. So I'll suggest that if you don't know him please try to search for his guitar covers and compositions I'm sure your time will never be wasted, listening to his music.
But there's also a lot more well-known fingerstylist there's Igor Presnyakov, Andy Mckee, Tommy Emmanuel and a lot more.
If you're a Filipino and interested on fingerstyle guitar you can be a member of 'Filipino Fingerstyle Guitar'. There are chapters of it in almost every district of the Philippines. I belong to Laguna chapter and sometimes we gather in a certain place and share knowledge, ideas about guitar, we also record and cover some songs.
