Problem Statement

Traditional games allow for in-game purchases and rewards, yet players don’t truly own these assets and only get entertainment in return. In Dungeon Cities, you can genuinely own your assets as NFTs and even earn cryptocurrency as in-game rewards.

Proposed Solution

Dungeon Cities is a text-based RPG dApp. Its choice driven and requires players to come up with strategies and a lot of planning to hit the leader board. Of course, being on Hive chain, the players have true ownership of their assets.

At its core, players explore dungeons, battle monsters, and collect unique in-game items. These items (weapons, armor, rare artifacts, etc) are minted as NFTs, giving players true ownership of their assets. Each item is tradeable within the game’s marketplace, allowing players to decide whether to keep items for progression or exchange them for HIVE tokens.

Strategic Gameplay:

Players make meaningful choices in Dungeon Cities, such as:

• Deciding when to fight powerful monsters
• Navigating dangerous traps
• Searching for hidden treasures
• Equipping better items
• Forging higher class stuff
• Deciding whether to complete an equipment set or go for a higher class equipment.

Each decision has consequences, adding depth to the game and making the player’s journey more exciting.

Revenue Model:

Dungeon Cities has the potential to earn through many ways -

• Game Sale: Players can start earning by purchasing a $5 key, unlocking all game functionalities.
• In-Game Asset Sales: Players may buy limited-edition NFTs like rare weapons and armor, which are tradeable in the marketplace. Revenue is generated from both initial and resale transactions.
• Transaction Fees: Every marketplace transaction (e.g., buying, selling, trading NFTs) incurs a small transaction fee (e.g., 2-5%).

2. ReactJS for the front end
3. Node.js and Postgres for the backend

Future Prospects:

We’re excited about the future of Dungeon Cities, with plans to add new levels, bosses, and in-game events. We also aim to expand the NFT marketplace with more collectibles and introduce PvP combat and team-based dungeons, enhancing the player experience and community engagement.
