Weekly Development Updates for D.Buzz - Today: D.Buzz updated with all the new features.

Welcome to Tuesday.

If you are new to D.Buzz, you may not realize that before we roll out new features to D.Buzz, we do an open testing of them on our Next.D.Buzz platform. Next.D.Buzz is an active working version of our platform, but has new features that we are testing to ensure they work and not break the buzz.

This week, a lot of features have passed the community and internal testing. As such, we are pushing them to the main site, which is D.Buzz. All the below features are live on D.Buzz as of today.

The Decentralized Database System is here

From now on, all your settings, including the theme, will be synced among devices, when you log in with your Hive username.

We will use this database system to store custom data of each of our users, enabling more features to be added in the future. Along with this, we added sync ability for multiple devices in the client with the help of the decentralized database API.

Buzz Title Bar

Now, you can add a custom buzz title of up to 60 characters.
We've removed the additional buzz title modal (pop-up). Just click on the Title button to open the title bar on top of your buzz.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed images not rendering after adding a title.
• Fixed content truncating because of title. Now,, now the title and the content will be calculated before publishing a buzz.
• Fixed buzz max character length and buzz counter issue.
• Fixed the user avatar position to buzz title when opened.
• A few minor bug fixes and improvements to make DBuzz even better.

Working on Next

Videos are a great way of expression. With the evolution of technology, it has become easier to express oneself through video. Video can be used for any type of expression such as entertainment, information, and narration. Whether it is for one's personal use or posting on their blog, video is a great way to get your message across. We want to support this.

Our next big feature push is supporting video uploads of up to 60 seconds. We are currently testing the code and working out the issues to make this happen. Stay tuned in the next few weeks for additional updates.

The Hive Authentication Service and integration with the SPK network.

We feel these two projects will be a game changer for Hive. If you could log in with ease, and you could store information on a rapid, almost limitless decentralized storage system... wow, just think about how amazing that would be.

After the video upload is set, these two items are next on our list.
