What's buzzing, friends!
We talk about cats a lot on this blog. Why? Well, because cats are truly amazing. It is always nice to have a pet that is loyal to you. Not everyone is a fan of cats, but if you are one of the many people who do love them, this blog introduction factoid is out-of-this-world. We're not going to lie - it can be hard to give up your cat for any period of time, but there are many benefits to having one and holding them tight.
Today, we are going to talk about a cat's purr. If you have held a cat, you have experienced the healing benefits that this soft, vibrating noise has on you, without you even knowing it!
More specifically, cats purr at a frequency range between 25 and 150 Hertz. This frequency has a lot of proven healing benefits for the body. One of which is to build bone density. NASA uses that tone range to help reduce the loss of bone density in astronauts, while they are in orbit. WOW.
We think NASA should just ditch the noise idea, and put a few cats on the space station. Sure, they may sleep in space suits and trip the astronauts while they are exiting the station, but at least the space station will have no mice, and the astronauts will be more healthy. Win-Win right? Who Agrees?
Moral of the story, pet your cat, get strong bones, and read the summary of posts from D.Buzz below. :D
