What's Buzzing Friends...

Do you know what "Sphenopalatine Ganglioneuralgia" is? Chances are pretty good you probably had a before, and chances are good that your friends of got it as well. Though this is not the next flu, it is know as a brain freeze!

Yes, "Sphenopalatine Ganglioneuralgia" is the scientific term for a brain freeze, or a cold-stimulus headache, or even known as an ice-cream headache. But despite its name your brain does not actually become frozen.

In the back of your mouth you have a bundle of nerves, a whole lot of them. Especially if they're not ready for shock like cold, and they get hit by a ball of cold ice cream, this bundle of nerves shoots many messages to your brain at the same time, sort of overwhelming your brain causing brain freeze.

Scientists say this is nothing to worry about and generally passes the couple of seconds to a few minutes. However if you're prone to these, doctors say to drink glass of warm water when you feel one setting on to lessen the intensity.

Wow... Now that is some food for thought we would say, you know what else is? This weeks summary of posts from D.Buzz, best part, our summary of posts will not cause Sphenopalatine Ganglioneuralgia. :)
