Hey Guys and Gals,

Did you know it's estimated that there is over 1.3 billion web pages floating in the World Wide Web? Do you know what makes up 33% of that? A little thing called Wordpress Source.

That means about 455,000,000 websites are powered by Wordpress. It should come as no surprise that the BEST WEB 3.0 platform HIVE should connect with that. In today's spotlight, we will talk about how Steempress does just that.

As always though, before diving into this highlight, a big shout out to https://hivedapps.com, a site that lists the TOP DApps. Thank you, @therealwolf, for building and maintaining this fantastic website.

This week, we will be looking at "Steempress"

Web URL: https://wordpress.org/plugins/steempress/
Hive account : @steempress

Currently, listed as the 11th most used DApp on the block, Steempress is the gateway between WordPress and HIVE.

When you have your WordPress site set up, you would install this plug-in. After doing so anytime you write a new blog article on your web page, it would be published to your HIVE account as well. (* Talk about convenience).

This is a stellar way to engage a wider audience, while also promoting your content and the overall HIVE blockchain.

Here are some features that Steempress provides:

• Automatic posting of articles to the Hive blockchain
• Conversion and cleaning of text to look good on different websites
• Automatic self-vote
• Add an original link to your blog
• Custom tags for each article
• Default tags if no tags are defined for an article.
• Optional posting
• Bulk posting
• Post scheduling
• Multiple hive account support
• Add (or not) the featured image on top of the hive post
• Category filtering
• Custom footer on hive

As a blogger myself, this is all most welcomed as it reduces the amount of time It takes to cross post content, and that saves me time to do what I love to do... blog.

The Blockchain developer by night and software engineer by day @howo, is one of the co-founders of this epic plugin, they are also actively working on the block chain by getting HIVE ready for its upcoming HardFork. (*Thanks @howo you rock!).

If you are looking for a way to streamline your content distribution, and save those precious minutes for other more important things (Like posting to D.Buzz 😉 ), then we highly recommend you check out this DApp.
