I posted a photo of the kawazu cherry blossoms the other day. How about some more?
These are kawazu cherry blossoms (河津桜, kawazu zakura) which bloom roughly a month before the most famous yoshino cherry blossoms (染井吉野, somei yoshino). The trees are smaller than the yoshino cherry, but the flowers are larger and more pink.
This is only part of all of them in my city. They go for some distance.
We don't have to just enough them at a distance or walking somewhat under them at the foot of the levee. The street is right on the other side, but there is space to walk.
It is a bit busier on this side, but still plenty of room.
Let's go in closer.
Funny thing about this place. Turn around and across the way what do we find? Plum blossoms!
Spring is blossom overload!!
