After 9/11, I was close to volunteering. I'm glad I didn't. I have come to dislike all war and consider myself a pacifist.

That said, happy veteran's day! My grandfather was in WW2. He was on the beach at Normandy. But he never wanted people to thank him. He also came to hate war.
