So it seems Hive Power-Up Day is with us once again. Didn’t we just have the first one of these of 2024 about a week ago? Time never slows down.

At any rate, it’s here again and I am powering up! I already powered up everyday of the month to qualify for Hive Power-Up Month (HPUM), but now for the first of the month I’m powering up a bit more than I have been.

But first! What is Hive Power-Up Day? Let’s get a brief intro out of the way for any of you who may be unfamiliar with the day.

Hive-Power Up Day (HPUD) is when we all power-up some hive. Pretty simple, eh? We can of course power up on any day of the month, but HPUD is here to just make it more fun and give some slight social pressure to doing so.

Hive Power Up Day uses UTC time, so it started about 20 minutes ago as of this posting. If you’re unsure of what that means in your time zone, this is my favorite time zone conversion site. You can also go to the Hivebuzz page, login, and they will show you a countdown clock.

That out of the way, I powered-up 400. That puts me up 1249.380 for the past 30 days, so it’s not too bad. I’d like to be up more, but until I get the big whale support, we’ll have to be happy with it.

How does that make my month view look?

Growing stronger!!

That brings me to 23,325.90, leaving 11,674.10 for meeting my goals of 35k by the end of the year. That cuts the daily average I need to make to 34.8. At today’s HIVE price, that’d be about $21.16 in upvotes on every post, which sadly is still more than I earn from my posts on average, but at least it’s down a little. Be thankful for small favors, eh?

Anyway, that’s all for HPUD from me. If you are reading this near when I posted it, go power up yourself and join in the fun!

If you miss out don’t worry, there will be another next month. But that next month will be here before you know it. I suggest following hivebuzz@hivebuzz and/or traciyork@traciyork so you will be reminded a few days before the next one.
