Wow...are we into October already? This year is just flying by. I think part of the reason is that so much of life post-covid is still online. During COVID a lot of my classes, which were the main motivators for me leaving the house before, were on location. But then COVID happened and most of them moved online. Many still remain online. When one is just staring at the computer all day, one day blends into the next and they all pass quickly. Hmm... I hope they all return to on location next year. I need to get out more!

Anyway, it's a new month and you know what that means—it's Hive Power-Up Day!

What is Hive Power-Up Day? Hive-Power Up Day (HPID) is simply when we all power-up some HIVE. Pretty simple, eh? We can, of course, power up on any day of the month (and I do everyday!) but HPUD is just here for an added social push and I think that's a pretty good reason.

Hive Power Up Day uses UTC time, so it started about 15 minutes ago as of this posting. Hopefully the time zone difference didn't confuse me and my power-up will be counted!

Speaking of time zones, to check what these times are in your local time zone, this is my favorite time zone conversion site, but you can also go to the Hivebuzz page, login, and they will show you a countdown clock.

If you have at least 10 Hive that you can power-up, you will get a badge from doing so. If you are under level 70 then you might get some big rewards for powering-up as well, like a lot of HIVE in delegations.

I powered-up 100. Another month that is less than I hoped, but 100 still isn't too bad. I've also been powering-up 10 HIVE everyday this past month, so that puts my total including today at 400. That's still less than many people at the top who are going to shame me by powering-up 1000+ HIVE today. Oh well. I'll try to do even better in October!

Growing stronger!! Soon to be a whale!! As the common saying goes: aim high!

If you miss out don't worry, there will be another next month. But that next month will be here before you know it. I suggest following @hivebuzz and/or @traciyork so you will be reminded a few days before the next one.

It's a Secret to Everyone

And if any of you have read this far—thank you! As a reward to all who actually read this post, leave a comment with proof (a screenshot) that you also powered up. First 10 comments with power-up proof will get a unit of HSBI from me.
