i imagine it's all bollocks to a) move the price of oil to keep the markets going until it's time to pull the plug and b) keep every one in fear with wars and rumours of wars.
i know i can live quite happily and peacefully not knowing anything they're staging on the telescreen for years on end until, you know, revelation 13 and that.
