there is no dome mentioned in the bible. one translation has used the english word 'vault' instead of what should be the actual translation of the hebrew word which is 'troop' or 'band' 'group.' nowhere near 'vault' or 'dome.'

yes, it is said a rocket hit the firmament, but there could have been other reasons it got stopped at 72 miles - there was no visible evidence of a barrier.

now don't get me wrong, the bible does say there is a firmament or an expanse, a soli, beaten out roof for the earth - but nowhere does it say what shape it is (certainly never mentions a dome) - though it does specifically say the heavens have four corners, from which the four winds blow.
