'if you're the kind of conspiracy theorist who believes a cashless society is a bad thing, then that would be bad news as well.'

future government announcement: 'from now on, children will be raised by the state from age 6 months, anyone refusing to allow their children a clean head early start will have their credits frozen for 1 month for each day they refuse to co-operate. all for one and one for all.'

are you mad? a digital cashless society is the end of all personal freedom. just because you can't imagine it, millions (including orwell, huxley, burgess and many more,) can, and can see the apparatus being put in place now (technological, legal, economic,) that will enable a future dictator to utterly control all mankind because all of us depend on being able to buy and sell and use commonly accepted currency.
